David Wambaugh
Founder, Owner & President
David Wambaugh is the Founder and President of Resurrection Ranch. At 61 years old, David brings lived experience, deep compassion, and unwavering hope to everything he does. For much of his adult life, he struggled with alcoholism, addiction, and mental illness, spending many years in and out of jails, prison, mental hospitals, and rehabilitation programs.
Ten years ago, while working as a professional interventionist, David began volunteering at a horse rescue. The horses played a major role in stabilizing his mental health and completing his transformation. Today, he is a changed man — sober, stable, and living with purpose.
David’s powerful story of tragedy, loss, hope, miracles, and redemption is shared in his memoir, The Last Call. The son of renowned author Joseph Wambaugh (pioneer of the true-crime genre with more than 20 New York Times bestsellers), David credits God, the healing power of horses, and compassionate support for his personal resurrection. Out of his own healing journey, he founded Resurrection Ranch to offer others the same second chances he received.
Hillary Wambaugh
Director of Operations
Hilary Wambaugh, RN MSN, FNP, serves as Director of Operations at Resurrection Ranch. Hilary has been an integral part of the vision and growth of Resurrection Ranch since its inception. Her experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner strengthens the clinical quality and day-to-day operations of the program. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Hilary brings her professional expertise, strong leadership skills, and a deep commitment to compassionate care. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families through their recovery and wellness journey. Together with David, she is dedicated to creating a safe, professional, and healing environment for every participant.
Pasha Simpson
Director of Marketing, Public Relations & Client Liaison
Pasha Simpson serves as the Director of Marketing, Public Relations, and Client Liaison for Resurrection Ranch Unlimited. She leads the ranch’s marketing and communications efforts, helping share our mission through photography, social media management, and creative content development. With a background in social media marketing, she is passionate about helping grow the ranch’s presence and connecting our mission with the community.
Driven by a passion for horses, faith, and serving others, Pasha believes in the power of genuine connection and the meaningful relationships that can be formed between people, horses, and the surrounding community. Through visual storytelling and community outreach, she is dedicated to creating and sharing our mission, inspiring hope, encouraging connection, and welcoming others to experience the peaceful environment and purpose that make Resurrection Ranch Unlimited so special.
